Cyber Security in 2017 Did you know?
Earlier this year the Government published the results of the Cyber Security Breaches Survey 2017. The aim of the survey was to measure how well businesses approached cyber security and the level of cyber attacks on businesses.
Just under half (46%) of all businesses identified, had at least one breach or attack in the last 12 months.
- Of those affected, 20% had their software or systems corrupted.
- The most common type of breaches (72%) related to staff receiving fraudulent emails.
The likelihood of a Cyber Attack is increasing so having a Cyber Security policy and awareness training for teams will not only help businesses protect themselves, but will also help mitigate the impact of a breach.
