Are you GDPR ready?
Stealing data is a lucrative cyber crime and so the importance of protecting it has never been greater. The new GDPR (General Data Protection Regulations) are in keeping with this.
Coming into force on the 25th May 2017, the new regulations supersede the current Data Protection Act. The aim is to bring data protection up to date, to better protect the way personal information of an individual is processed.
It will affect everyone, and from a business perspective there are regulations that will need to be adhered to ensuring you are compliant.
The legislation has been split into elements to help businesses understand how they need to comply with each.
For some businesses there will be a lot to do in order to ensure they meet the standards, and for others it may simply be a case of documenting the ways in which they are already compliant.
